Frequently Asked Questions

1. The oil should be change after how many times be used?

The answer depends on kinds of compressor you have. For example, you should change machine oil after at least 7000-8000 hours used for a rotary screw compressor. Whereas, if your machine is a reciprocating air compressor, it should be change oil after a quarter in one year. Anyway, it’s very good for your machine to have a regular schedule for replacing oil.

2. When the air filter could be replaced?

You should refresh your air intake filter once a week if you run it approximately 3 days every week.Once you find out any debris such as holes or tears in your air filter, you should replaced it instantly.

3. How much voltage is suitable for your machine?

The capacity of the compressor decides this. If you have a small size machine at home, you just need 110V source to run it. However, if your compressor is larger-sized, it just runs as be supplied an electric source from 110V to 460V.

4. Could my compressor start with only a generator?

It is advised that you should not use the compressor with a generator because of the unstableness of this electrical supply. You had better use the generator as a power source if only you don’t have any other more constant source.

5. What types of hose should I buy?

This problem is result of the failure of one in two parts: condensate trap or undersized air compressor dryer. The first issue can be solved by cleaning the water trap or even replacing it at once. For the other problem, you have to replace or fix your air dryer with something bigger though this device is quite expensive.

6. What problems will happen with my line if water stays in it?

The size of the hose depends on the kind of compressor you own. Two most popular dimesion in the market nowsaday are 1/4″ and 3/8”. Research carefully your instruction booklet of the compressor and contact us for more information about choosing the most suitable hoses. The bigger compressor often means you could use the bigger-size hose. Most of compressor in the household are 1/4” sized.

8. Could I use an extra tank with my small compressor at home?

You can’t have an exact answer for this question because it relies on your compressor have duty continuously or not. You may understand that if your machine usually works, it have run in a long time and it will not het any issue running a bigger spare tank.

9. What is the best capacity of the tank?

The most exact answer is that it relies on the amount of the air you have to use. Although a bigger tank means that the motor will not run and stop as usually as a small one, it is more suitable to own a smaller-size tank if you just need a normal amount of the air. Because the price of small machine is lower.

10. How can I distingguish between constant and stop-start run?

You can easily see the difference between two types of machine. The start-stop machine has a pressure switch which switch the compressor on/off. Most small gas and small electric air compressor are start-stop.

A constant run compressor runs and turns the pump continuously. This type of compressor is often sold in the industrial stores.
